The Problem with Disposable Wipes
Disposable wipes are the largest component of a "use-and-toss" trend that is sweeping the cleaning industry in North America.
If someone were to load all of the disposable wipes purchased in North America in 2004 onto 18-wheel semis, the caravan would number 9,000 trucks and stretch for 68 miles (110 km). This includes all brands of wet and dry disposable wipes.
This works out to 83,000 tons of cloths going to the landfills – in one year alone.
